Hey I'm Jo, a woman who is passionate about personal growth and fitness. I have overcome challenge in my life. Entering the adult world as challenged 16 year old, having suffered abuse, abandonment, poverty and then homelessness. For years my life didn’t get much better. Good and bad I did what I knew to survive.
At 21 I was pregnant and homeless a second time, having fled domestic abuse. The birth of my first daughter was my call to action. an i cant, attitude was not going to create change. Dyslexic with zero qualification, and little childcare support I still turned that ship around. I learned to create my own opportunities, to build finance, utilise skills I had learned through survival, never quit, and keep my goals and dreams to the front of my mind. There is always a way, I just have to find it. I call unleashing your personal power.
This attitude change my world, I am fit, strong and focused, embarking on the second half of my life with clarity and confidence. I own and have renovated multiple properties, I have several business and financial investments. I have a beautiful family and partner, together we travel the world seeing in real life the places I dreamed of when my eyes were closed and my fears had me trapped. I now refuse to stop dreaming, setting goals and going for all my heart can hold. Especially when it comes to my passion to keep growing as a woman in business and stay fit and strong so I can help other woman do the same.
It weren't easy but it can be done!
In 2013 I faced my learning fears, I taught myself to read confidently, then embarked on a learning journey that has given me a multitude of qualifications, in childcare learning and development, leading me to university where I studied applied behavior therapy, child development, child psychology and later community health and well-being. To further that and my passion for fitness I recently qualified in fitness instructor and personal trainer too.
Un-stacking the odds & the weight gain…
The childhood trauma did take its toll at times. I could be justified to hit the bottle or worse but I didn’t because I know I can do better, I have done better. The strength I know I have, to have gotten this far, stacks the odds in my favor to do better and keep doing better.
But managing PTSD saw me hit a few low points, hidden with a smile, smothered in vast amounts of weight gain, suffocating in moments that felt like the whole world was against me.
Persoanl development and fitness helped me learn to love my authentic self. I realised that if I survived so much, there is a reason. I had to find ways to honor that and use my grit and determination to keep going and be the best version of me I can be.
In 2018 I lost 60+ lbs and had a tummy tuck to get rid of the lose skin. I nurture my well-being by making myself a priority, and keeping the right company around me, people who are also striving for brighter futures and personal success.
Survival gives us superpowers, maybe it is time to put yours to work!
I am now dedicating my experience to helping woman tap into their potential, by unleashing their personal power and taking back control of their future by motivating them to elevate their mindsets, as well as nurturing their health through nutrition and fitness thus creating a life a life they truly love and feel fulfilled in.

Power Hour Live
8 Week Small Group Session -
Online or in Person
A small group of no more than 4 wonderful woman plus myself, come together once a week to embrace who we are, where we have been and where we are going next. We set our goals and work towards becoming the version of ourselves.
Divided into 4 quarters, in this Power Hour we work on our fitness, self-connection and growth, mind-set and tools to create action.
you will also get access to the PHL group chat where you can check-in and get support as you continue to do your Power Hour throughout the week.

If a group is not for you, you can have me all to yourself.
In these sessions we look at your personal needs and goals. Work to raise your fitness and strength levels, while addressing nutrition and whats been holding you back from the becoming the woman you know you should be. learn new ways to overcome obstetrical’s, leverage success, grow in confidence and self-esteem.
You will learn personal development skills, re-focus your mindset and take action. Once you start to create change there will be know stopping you.
You don’t have to see the whole path, just be willing to take your next step.
Hi my name is Sarah,
I'm 46 years old with three grown up children. I work in Urology outpatients at the University Hospital of Wales.
I have been a HCSW for 5 years and I started my nursing degree in September. I have been working with Jo for a few months focusing on improving my overall fitness health and wellbeing.
Jo has been a great source of knowledge and encouragement when I have felt like giving up. I love the energy that she brings to everything whether it's a home workout or just a chat.
